We aim to be competitive and accessible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an initial phone call or email exchange where we listen to what you're looking for and ask questions to help us understand your event, audience, and expectations. We especially enjoy learning about your event and drawing on our experience to help you get the most of having live entertainment. Based on the initial communication, we begin formulating a set list and keep in touch as needed until the event. We aim to respond quickly and to be easy to work with!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dr. Becky Weidman-Winter is an active performer and educator in Fort Worth, TX. She has performed with the Las Colinas, Arlington, and Garland Symphonies, Crested Butte Music Festival, Arkansas Symphony, Conway Symphony, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Little Rock Wind Symphony, and the Boulder Philharmonic. Becky has won the Flute Society of Kentucky and Mid-South Young Artist Competitions, received Honorable Mention in the Myrna Brown Young Artist Competition, and performed as a soloist across the United States. She has been a guest artist or clinician for the Texas Flute Society, Mid-South Flute Society, Flute Society of Kentucky, Colorado Mesa University Flute Day, Lake City Chamber Music Festival, Delta State University, and the Mississippi Music Teachers Association. She has been a presenter at conferences for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the College Music Society and the Flute Society of Kentucky Festival. Her research has focused on the musical traditions of the Penitentes of New Mexico. She has been on the faculty of Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, CO and the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts in Boulder, Colorado. She holds degrees in flute performance from the University of North Texas (D.M.A), University of Colorado (M.M), and Oberlin Conservatory (B.M.) Deborah Ray returned to music as an adult in 2009 and began performing in local ensembles shortly thereafter. In addition to Mosaic Flute Duo, Deborah also performs with Silver & Strings Duo, a Denver-based flute-guitar duo that features standards, show tunes, light classical, and more. Deborah previously performed for four years with Flute Salad, a Denver-based flute trio whose clients included Hilton Hotel, Denver Pavilions, and City of Thornton, among many others at as many as a dozen performances per month. She studied flute under world-renowned flutists Dr. Cobus du Toit and Dr. Christine Potter, and she was a Master Class performer with Dr. Katherine Kemler in 2015. She also served on the CO Flute Association board of directors and published Colorado Flutist (2013-15). Deborah moved to Arlington in 2016 and enjoys the wide range of music performed with Mosaic Flute Duo.
