John is a man of his word he won't promise something that he can't deliver and delivers exactly what he promises. I felt comfortable with him in my home, which is very important for a single woman living alone. I plan on definitely hiring him many more times in the the future and can't imagine why Anyone would ever regret doing so

Woodjunkie’s work made my home worth twice as much as what I paid for it. I never knew how a very plain home could be turned into looking like such an upscale and modern home. I had an idea for an entertainment system based on some mid-century furniture that we like. John helped to realize the idea and created a beautiful 2-piece credenza set (4' and 6' lengths) that I always get compliments on. The quality and detailing is on par with anything I've seen at Crate and Barrel or West Elm and at a fair price.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $50/hour. Small projects such as furniture repair and door service (lock installation, adjustment, etc.) may be priced per project. Consultation is when I come to your house and you pick my brain for design ideas, potential pitfalls and general insights. Consultation is billed at $100 for the first hour or part of an hour, and $50/hour after that.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After first contact and agreement as to the scope of my involvement, I will adapt my approach to the task at hand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years of hands-on experience in the building trades with a focus on woodworking, carpentry and cabinet work
