I have no complaints whatsoever. Jake is very courteous, professional and obviously very experienced. The work is done in his house; he doesn't have quite the full blown range of equipment that a retail type studio would have but for what I needed, headshots, it was more than adequate. He took dozens of shots in all the looks that I needed; he was very patient in getting good shots and didn't mind at all that it took a while, I never felt under pressure to finish quickly. After the shots he will sit down with you, pick out the best ones and work on those later with retouching etc., which was done very well and finished quickly. I particularly appreciated the fact that he will upload all the ones that you like to the website and you can retain copies permanently to use for whatever you wish; in these days of digital photography that is much more appropriate than some other photographers who try to charge per completed shot. I also thought his pricing, though it was actually the highest bid I received, was very honest and did not contain any loopholes that could lead to a higher bottom line price; I appreciated this and that was part of the reason I picked his bid. Overall I was very happy with Jake, I got exactly what I needed for about half the price a retail studio would charge.

Jake shot the photos for my surprise engagement and I could not have asked for anything more. He captured the most amazing photos and was such a calming and cheerful presence. He also sent us the photos in an insanely short amount of time so that we could share the special moment with family and friends. I would highly recommend Jake for anything! Beyond stellar experience.

First of all, he has a very nice set up in his home (professional setting). I was taking head shots for a business card. He took plenty, we reviewed them, and then we went back and took more because I felt I could do better. He was patient, never rushed and showed me all the touch ups he can do. We went through EVERY photo and said yes or no, etc. I would recommend him and work with him again.

I needed some professional headshots for Linkedin and an internal corporate social media platform. Working with Jake was great. He set my expectations, guided me through the preparation and then executed the photo shoot. Jake's digital platform for image delivery worked like a charm. Jake is a true professional who delivers quality.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to kick off the conversation via phone to understand exactly what your image needs are and how the images will be used in order to make sure your photos are just what you need. We'll email you a what-to-expect guide to walk you through the process.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Consider how the quality of the photo gear, lighting equipment, studio or location equipment, and the photographer's experience will impact the quality of your images. You want to put your best foot forward with your images, so don't shop solely based on price.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How will you use your images? In print, on LinkedIn or other social media, or for corporate brochures and web sites. These will impact what you where, how we frame the images, and the size of the digital files we deliver.
