FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For a home that involves a lot of hours in selection of flooring, etc (like new home construction ) I charge by the hour. Once the project moves into the purchasing of interior items such as drapery, blinds, furniture and accessories, I don't charge hourly fees when clients purchase those products through me. Visits to art galleries, etc. on an hourly basis, but I highly recommend having me there since we are making choices for the interior we are working on together!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. The American Society of Interior Designers, of which I am an Allied Member, requires a certain amount of Continuing Education hours to retain membership each year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in a drapery workroom as a fabricator and fell in love with the fabrics - colors and choices available. I had helped my mother with our home and enjoyed the process, so I decided to go to design school.
