We had a small deck that needed a remodel. We contacted Garden Goat for a quote and they quickly booked a phone call and onsite evaluation for me. The cost was fair, and they did a quick and quality job to rip out the old deck and replace it with a new. I also appreciated that they advised to keep the original frame since it was in good condition and would save us money. All in all a wonderful job and I would hire again!

Wow! Garden Goat completely transformed our outdoor space. Nick is actually professional, knowledgeable landscaper with artistics mind. I hired him to salvage the extended portion of our backyard, which of considerable size, which was before his magic touch full of weeds eventhough we tried to keep it covered with weed cloth all over.
Nick was very professional and he setup our first meeting and sent me a meeting invite. On his first visit, he didn't rush and he gave me few options that I finalize on for the project. He also gave me cost saving ideas.
On the day of the job he and his crew came on time. They tear apart existing weed cloth, uprooted all weeds from the area, then leveled the land covering with new weed cloth. Finally, they lay the decomposed granite on it. Also towards the back of the land for the narrow, long, rectangular space he suggested to put colorado boulders. To give the area a fresh, nice look he also suggested what plants he can bring and plant in the area. For the plants he gave me two choices. All his communications were via Thumbstack. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. I have dealt with landscapers before but Nick has set the bar very high. I will use him for any future landscaping project and would highly recommend him for people who are looking for landscapper. One last thing I want to mention is that while he was working on the project, one day, I showed him that I broke the drip irrigation pipe accidentally while doing lawn mowing. As a courtesy he fixed that for me although it was not in the list of things he was supposed to do for the project. Again, I highly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price materials, labor, my time and some operations costs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will typically schedule a visit to the customer’s location. Will listen to their request, discuss a few options to see what they prefer. I will provide relevant information about what we could do and how we would do it. Then, I write a proposal with photos, descriptions and itemized quote. When we reach an agreement on what to do and costs, I send an invoice. I ask for 40% before the start and 60% upon completion. Once we start the project, I like to put as many resources as possible until the project is completed and the customer is satisfied.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I used to work in tech. So I don’t really have a formal training in landscaping. I learn from others and from experience.
