- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of the time, we work hourly. We do quote some fixed fee work for uncontested divorces, prenups or postnups, or appellate work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each licensed attorney in Texas must have 15 hours annually. Our attorneys have at least double that number annually. They write papers and present cutting edge topics to other family law attorneys.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Family law is a really personal type of law. Our attorneys came to family law almost as a calling. All of our attorneys practiced other types of law before settling on family law. Jimmy did civil litigation, appellate law, insurance defense law and was both a briefing attorney and staff attorney for the Texas Supreme Court. Leigh began her career in juvenile law. Lisa was in the broadcast and PR field and practiced in large tort law before settling into family law.
