Hi there! Welcome to Velvet Beauty! Here's a quick intro:
You can catch the lead makeup guru of Velvet Beauty, Marisa Warren, at Christian Dior events all around Texas as a regional artist and lead esthetician. She has been immersed in the beauty industry for over 10 years and has even dabbled in doing opera makeup for Austin Lyric Opera. Even though theatrical makeup is fun, her passion lies in beauty makeup especially for weddings, photoshoots, and special occasions. Her beauty work has been published in national magazines and online publications such as Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, and Refinery 29.
Our favorite thing has to be giving everyone's skin a velvety finish (your choice of matte or glowy)! We thrive on blending every aspect of your makeup to perfection :)
Even though we are based out of Austin, we travel anywhere in Texas. San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, College Station, etc. :)

I’ve never seen myself more beautiful. Marisa made everyone in my wedding party, including myself, absolutely flawless. (Which ranged of a variety of color tones from Caucasian, Mixed, Hispanic, and African American) I couldn’t have dreamed of anything better than the makeup she did. Not only was her work amazing, but so was Marisa as herself. A wonderful person with an amazing personality! Thank you so much for being apart of my wedding day!

Marisa did my makeup for my wedding on October 11. Upon her arrival, I was dealing with a stressful situation (last min wedding prep problems), so I was very tense and frustrated. I feel terrible that Marisa had to hear my frustrations. However, Marisa was completely reassuring and laid back on that day, so once we started my makeup application I felt much better. My makeup looked absolutely amazing. I felt truly beautiful and like a princess on my wedding day. My makeup has never looked as good as it did that day. I received so many compliments. Many family members and friends said I looked like a model:) My mother also had her makeup done that day and she felt beautiful. My mother told me she received lots of compliments as well. I am so glad I chose Marisa for my makeup artist on my wedding day. She is the best in her field!!! I highly recommend her for any special event!!!!

Marisa did an excellent job on my wedding trial makeup! She listened to what I wanted and took into account my skin type, dress color, time of day, and season in which the wedding will take place to make sure my makeup will be perfect. My mom was leery about me getting my makeup done because she didn't want me to look unnatural. Marisa changed her mind! After my appointment, my mom decided that she wants her makeup done for the wedding too!

I can't say enough about Marisa and her incredible talent, professionalism, and overall lovely personality! From our consultation in the summer to the wedding in December, she was on time, knowledgeable, attentive, and listened to what I wanted. Marisa did my makeup for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day and did an AMAZING job! Marisa is very talented and really listened to what I wanted and what my girls wanted and followed through 100%. Everyone in my bridal party looked so natural and beautiful! Not only is Marisa an amazing makeup artist, she is very professional, and personable! My bridal party and I had a lot of fun with her the day of my wedding. I am so glad I found her for my big day and cannot wait to hire her again! Marisa will not disappoint you!
