Hi there! Welcome to Velvet Beauty! Here's a quick intro:
You can catch the lead makeup guru of Velvet Beauty, Marisa Warren, at Christian Dior events all around Texas as a regional artist and lead esthetician. She has been immersed in the beauty industry for over 10 years and has even dabbled in doing opera makeup for Austin Lyric Opera. Even though theatrical makeup is fun, her passion lies in beauty makeup especially for weddings, photoshoots, and special occasions. Her beauty work has been published in national magazines and online publications such as Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, and Refinery 29.
Our favorite thing has to be giving everyone's skin a velvety finish (your choice of matte or glowy)! We thrive on blending every aspect of your makeup to perfection :)
Even though we are based out of Austin, we travel anywhere in Texas. San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, College Station, etc. :)

Marisa was absolutely amazing!!! I looooved having my hair and makeup done by her. She was punctual and professional. She was very pleasant to talk to and very courteous. My makeup and hair looked amaaaaazing!!!! I received soooo many complements and for the records I wasn't the bride. I was just a guest. So, no one felt obligated to tell me that I was pretty for the sake of being the bride (cause I wasn't). She also helped me with putting on my my girdle and dress!!! She gave me honest feedbacks on how my dress looked on me. She did not make me feel rushed and gosh that corset was more than a torture for her to put on me than for me.. I felt amazing before entering the ceremony and I owe Marisa for that.. My photos looked fantastic. I can't get over looking at my photos and they were taken by just a phone camera. The type of makeup she did was so perfect for the photos and it lasted until I chose to wipe it off. She put my extensions on and oh my hair was soooo beautiful. She listened to me and applied my requests. I requested fake lashes and guess what?!!! She applied the individual lashes!!! The were just perfect!! I seriously couldn't be happier. In fact, I am going to take a course with her to learn how to do that amazing shadow that she did!!!

I would like to thank Marisa for all she has done! She was perfect, was always available and wanting to go over things (which made me very happy), any questions I had she responded very quickly and as a bride I'm sure I went a little crazy but that didn't faze her one bit, was always positive and was very supportive! She went over and beyond for me multiple times and I couldn't be happier with her service. My bridesmaids loved their hair and make-up they all stated for any upcoming events that they will be wanting to contact her. I def. will be contacting her again as well for any event upcoming she is amazing; she made my wedding day that much better!! THANK YOU MARISA you truly have been wonderful!!

These women were the absolute best. They were so organized, professional and kind. They are incredibly good at what they do and made everyone feel so at ease and happy on our wedding day. They kept us laughing and smiling all morning long. Melissa and Samatha are a dream team and we couldn’t have ask for anyone better! I loved the hair and make up more than I can say. It was so beautiful and I’m really thankful. They also had affordable options for me, my bridesmaids and the mothers with hair ranging based on selection and a make up option to do eyes lashes and lips instead of full make up! Book them ASAP! They’re so great!

Marisa did a great job on my hair and make-up last weekend! Despite the rain, she still made it to my house on time and managed to execute the exact look I was going for while maintaining a calm and fun demeanor. I got compliments all night!

Marisa (make up) and Kourtney (hair) were amazing! From first email, Marisa was great at answering questions or providing information about trials and day-of looks for my wedding. They were on-time and willing to work with my bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and me. They checked out my maybe-perhaps-Pinterest boards and turned it into a reality for rehearsal and day-of looks. They were super professional and friendly with everyone from meeting them onward! I would highly recommend their services for anyone who wants affordable, no-stress, awesome make-up or hair services!
