FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Email is awesome but I like to have a phone conversation to discuss what type of images you are wanting, location ideas, and any other special circumstances that would make our session successful. Once the details have been decide on I will email you a contract and invoice. A non-refundable, 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment date/time and the remainder is due on the day of the session. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, your deposit can be transferred to another date and time. After we have a fabulous photo session it will typically take me 5-7 days to get your photos back to you, and sometimes much sooner. I will do minor post-processing and touch-ups, unless you ask for something more specific. High resolution files will be delivered to you via a computer download or flash-drive. You will be able to use them immediately for social media or take them to your favorite printer if you are old-school, like me, and want actual pictures :) I will be happy to give you suggestions on the best online and local printers (hint....it's NOT Walgreens or Target!)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken numerous classes and workshops, but for the most part I am self-taught. Photography has been my main hobby for many, many years and I'm still learning new things every day.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been an amateur photographer forever. I started out mostly taking pictures of my own kids and scrapbooking like a madwoman. As my kids got older and didn't want me following them around anymore I started taking photos of friends and family. In addition to taking people pictures I really love nature photography. Living in Austin I'm becoming a big fan of urban/street photography and band photography. I just LOVE photography!
