Hi, I’m Jessica, the photographer behind Jessica Doffing Photography. I specialize exclusively in newborn and baby photography here in Austin. I know how overwhelming those first few weeks can feel, which is why I’ve built my sessions to be calm, guided, and completely baby-led. You don’t need to know how to pose, what to bring, or what your baby will do. I’ll walk you through everything.

Jessica is amazing. She came to our apartment and set everything up on time, and was very friendly about everything. We constantly asked questions about the photography process and she was more than happy to answer them. She was also excellent with our baby. She had the magic touch and the baby slept through the entire photoshoot without incident. The pictures also came out really pretty. We liked her editing style before hiring her and was very satisfied with the way she edited our baby's pictures. All in all, I definitely recommend her services to anyone else. She is amazing. You will not regret it!

We contacted and chose Jessica on pretty short notice, as a second time around couple who originally didn't plan on having a photographer. Our expectations weren't huge and I (bride) didn't really know what kind of shots - except candid, that I wanted. We felt at ease right away upon meeting Jessica and now are SO glad we hired her. She did an awesome job, reliable, professional and thorough in every aspect. I now wish we'd gotten a few more posed shots - because her photos are that good and the night was so special, but we love all of the pics so much!

Jessica was great. We did two sessions (a newborn session and a family photos session). Both went great. She brought props for the newborn shoot. She sent out a questionaire prior to the session to personalize the photos. She was very professional.

Jessica was very impressive. She had my 1.5 month old twins sleepy and cooperative for almost 3 hours which is not easy! She was able to get the amazing pictures and bring out the best features in both of them. I am so excited about the end results. She also made it very easy and convenient for me by coming to our home for the photo shoot and bringing everything she will possibly need. The proofs were given to us within a week and the prints we ordered within 2 weeks! You can't beat that! Hire Jessica...you will not be disappointed!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My sessions include a set number of professionally edited digital images. I keep my pricing straightforward with no required purchases. Product and albums are always optional. Occasionally, I offer bundled pricing for multiple sessions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you reach out, we’ll talk through the type of session you’re looking for - studio or in-home - and go over styling, timing, and any special requests. After we finalize the details, I’ll send over a contract and invoice. A 50% retainer secures your session date, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session. Before your session, you’ll receive a questionnaire to get your preferences for the photos and a prep guide so you know exactly what to expect. During the session, I guide everything so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve taken multiple newborn photography workshops trainings and continue to invest in education focused on safe posing, lighting, and workflow. In addition to formal training, I’ve spent 11+ years specializing in newborn photography, developing a process that prioritizes both safety and consistency in every session. I now mentor new photographers and teach safe practices, posing, lighting, etc.
