About
Located in Austin, Texas, I teach in person in my Austin studio and remotely on the Internet or by phone. The technique that I use is proven successful. From classical to pop, the technique works. Most successful artists use this technique. I encourage all to research Speech Level Singing and those artists that use it. Also, for those that want the training, I was a high school choral teacher for many years. I have many years of experience teaching music reading as well as ear training.
Helping those succeed! Successful singing is dependent on successfully understanding the voice and how it works. Watching those people learn and successfully engage their voice from the very lowest note to the very highest is very rewarding.

I was initially very nervous to reach out because I have no formal vocal training so I figured this was going to be a big task. However, I was immediately pleased with how easy to work with Gene was. I walked in and after a brief conversation to get familiar and work out what my goals were, we jumped right in to figuring out where I stand and what work I needed. By the time my half hour appointment was concluded, I already had the confidence to belt out what I had learned the full 40 minute ride home. I will certainly be scheduling more lessons and would encourage anyone to seek out Gene’s expertise to reach their goals. You will *not* be disappointed!

The first lesson was encouraging. My knowledge of my voice and how to use it is growing. I am singing better with less strain and I sure with more lessons and practice, I will sing higher and eventually sing in falsetto voice.

Gene is a great guy! I has a wonderful time working with him. He told me so much about where I am as a singer and what to work on within 10 minutes. I'm already noticing a difference and ready for more lessons.

Gene connected with my 16 year old son straight away and has expanded his range and confidence in only a few weeks. I definitely recommend him for short or long term voice lessons. Gene's experience and technique are top notch!

I've only worked with Gene for a short time, however each lesson so far has established a headspring of tremendously essential vocal technique. Immediately it was made apparent to me that his approach towards voice tutoring was sophisticated and his patience regarding his students exceptional.
