FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most jobs, I simply negotiate a base cost for my MC services. If clients have a certain idea in mind or something that they want to see happen, we can also discuss a budget for the event or any extra costs involved. For example, a recent event wanted their MC to repel from the ceiling for the grand intro. We were able to execute this stunt, but it involved additional costs of repel training, hiring riggers for the night of the event, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly pursue further development in my skills as MC/Host. Usually, that comes in the form of feedback from those who have trained me and continue to serve as mentors for me in this field. Additionally, I have a few people whom I professionally admire in this skill, and I seek to learn from them on a regular basis through their online activity.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I welcome a wide range of opportunities and challenges. I have served as MC/Host for everything from philanthropies, fraternity events, leadership conferences, and church gatherings. I see it as my responsibility to familiarize myself with the crowd beforehand, craft unique and engaging content for my time up front (if desired), and perform in a fun and professional manner.
