I did not want to rate this company poorly because the work product was not an issue. The overall service was fine, but I did not appreciate the lack of transparency regarding the cost of the service call. Before booking Generational Plumbing, I specifically asked for an estimate of the cost based on the service provided. I was told that I would be given a cost at the time of the call. When the plumber arrived, he said that they charge a flat-rate service call amount. The flat-rate service call amount was not warranted for the 10 minutes that the plumber spent repairing my sink. I felt that it was a made-up price at the time. There was no explanation of what the cost consisted of. No consumer ever wants the feeling that they been swindled! Communication is key, and this company should inform consumers about the flat rate service fee prior to the plumber coming out. This will allow the consumer to decide to continue with the service, instead of being left feeling like they “just got had”. I will not be referring this plumber!
