Jason was professional, personable, and did an excellent job replacing my bathroom sink and also replacing some hardware plumbing parts. I look forward to working with him on other handyman projects. Cost was fair and reasonable..
We really wanted to give Robert a good review. We liked him and we were hoping we had found our handyman for the future. We hired Robert to update our front entrance. Tasks were to paint the front door, switch out the address numbers and paint the pendant light on the front porch and replace the locks and handles on the front door. He did a good job on the numbers, light, and handles, but the front door was a HUGE disappointment. It was cold that day so he was having difficulty with his sprayer. When he left he expressed concern about how it would dry and said it 'might need touch up". I wasn;t there so I didnt see the door until the next day. The door didn't just need 'touch up". The paint job is full of lumps, bumps and streaks and has patches with no paint. Furthermore, we found overspray on the insides of the doors, on the brick exterior, on the porch and paint splattered on the driveway. Also, when he removed the dropcloths plastic he had taped on the door frame. the tape removed chucks of paint from the trim around the door. When I told Robert that the door did not simply need "touch up" and that it would need to be completely sanded and repainted and that the clean up needed to be done where paint was spilled/removed, he said he '"completely agreed". He then said he was going to have to CHARGE US $100 to clean up the mess he made. That was really disappointing. We thought we hired a professional to give us a professinally painted door. We definitely did not get a professionally painted door, and I would have expected a professional to stand by his work and deliver what he promised. It really didnt make sense to pay him more when he did not provide what we paid for in the first place. As a compromise, we offered him $50 for the time to re-do the door and offered another $50 for some other small projects around the house, and offered him another chance to earn our business. Robert never responded to our request. So, now we are starting over, looking for a handyman who can deliver professionalism and earn our business.
Al did a great job for me. Showed up on time and did a good clean up after the tree trimming was finished. I will certainly call al again. I highly recommend Honey Do Handyman.
I've never used an internet service to hire someone for something like this so I was a little apprehensive. I LOVED the immediate response from Thumbtack and to follow were 3 quotes! I chose Powell's Lawn Care and Handyman and was completely satisfied. VERY professional. In his quote he listed all the services he would provide and other helpful information. He was on time and did a GREAT job. I am completely satisfied with my first experience with Thumbtack AND Powell's Lawn Care.
Jonathan trimmed some large branches and fixed my fence that was falling down, including the gate. He's very professional, and the work was excellent! He was on time and communicated clearly before and during the job. I will be hiring him again next month to do some landscaping. I would recommend Jonathan for any type of handyman job. He should be very proud of the work he does. He was also very affordable which is an added bonus!
Shelby came and bid on some projects I had. I did not hire him because I had other projects forthcoming and I wanted to find one person to call on who could take care of it all. He does not work with plumbing or electrical. I found someone who could do this in addition to carpentry. In the future I may hire him for the things he excels at. Right now I have such a long and diverse list that I needed someone with more services.
We met Ryan today and were impressed with his professionalism, efficiency and friendliness. We have been looking for a handyman for our office location here in Austin, and we have found one! Thanks, Ryan!
Chris was awesome. He was easy to work with, very personable and professional. He did a great job and I just found my handyman for the future. Thank you very much for great work.
Juan with One Stop Services is nothing short of EXCELLENT. He showed up to the job site prepared and with a positive attitude. When things got dicey due to my poor planning he remained calm and was able to effectively trouble shoot solutions. Juan is very patient, able to adapt/adjust to changing circumstances and will stay until the job is done. Juan was very flexible with my changing scope of work and helped me out with additional small jobs while on site. Juan was very honest and fair with both estimating and invoicing. I will certainly use Juan for any future carpentry/handyman need as well as recommend him to my friends and family.
Okay so the job I asked for was admittedly simplified, but when Bill and Tony showed up they immediately sized up the job and began work immediately. They removed the existing cabinets and placed them in my garage for later use. Then they installed the new light fixtures, patched and painted the wall and installed the new cabinets. I was impressed at this point, but when the Master Electrician came to inspect the electrical work, I was amazed! My wife is so happy with the work that I have been given permission to hire Fixed again to install the old cabinets in my garage! Stay tuned, guys! And great touch with the door mat and shoe covers! That was the icing on the cake for my wife! Thank again!
Posted on Sunday. Scheduled on Sunday for Monday at 830am. Showed up at 825am and was very professional, helpful and a GREAT value. Will use this Handyman for many other projects!
Manuel, Handyman Walls, and his crew did an excellent job on this project which consisted of removing popcorn ceiling, retexturing and patching up the ceiling and walls. When you hire Manuel, you get someone that is diverse and has the ability to do things that are beyond the typical paint job. He was able to come up with solutions for some issues I wanted to address. He was able to take out an old return air filter vent of an unusual size and replace it with a new one of a normal size that required a little structural change. He finished out the tile in a bathroom and redid the thresholds. Installed some new fans as well. All of this was done in a timely manner. Manuel is flexible, competent, has a good eye for detail, and is passionate about delivering a fine quality of work.
Jim removed a load bearing wall between the kitchen and living room leaving a load bearing post, opening up the house. He was very prompt and professional. He finished on schedule and cleaned up everything before he left. The end result was exactly what I expected from a professional handyman.
Tom was a pleasure to have in our home. Tom helped to put together a boot bench and a television cabinet. The television cabinet was complex, but Tom handled it easily. He also helped to put up a dry erase board in minutes. I recommend Tom to any friends that need help with a handyman, whether it's assembling new furniture or repairing a sprinkler system. Thanks, Tom!
Abraham was a great handyman/plumber! Such a nice, friendly, honest guy. He got the plumbing work done efficiently and was very conscientious about keeping things clean and organized. We will definitely use his services when another need arises. Very reasonably priced and good communicator about scheduling, etc. I highly recommend him.
He did a great job on putting up the mirrors & curtain rods, very pleased, and looking to schedule a date to get a couple of more tasks completed.
Painting, cabinet fabrication & installation, water softener installation, deck modification, miscellaneous other handyman jobs.
Peter Park is a very capable contractor. Our job included sheet rock repair from water damage, painting the room, and repairing anything that was damaged by the leak of a water heater in our ceiling. Peter knew what he was doing. I even let him pick the color of paint for the bathroom. While he was working on that and waiting for things to dry, Peter helped with several other projects. One of our ceiling fans needed a new switch and several light fixtures needed new bulbs. They were located in very difficult locations. Peter also changed out an air conditioner filter. We recommend Peter Park Construction for any job. He researches the project and is very responsible. You can count on him to get the job done.
Best Handyman Austin is always punctual. They quickly installed our ceiling fan. there were a couple problems with it but they tinkered and didnt leave until figuring out what the problem was .they were very kind and patient about everything. Great service, would recommend.
amazing job, he replaced my old dead hot water heater and hauled away the old one. On budget. He even went with me when I bought the materials. For sure use this guy!
