Responds within a day

Introduction: I have over 20 years of dog training experience. My board and train program is conducted in my home so that your dog can learn good manners in a home setting. I focus on helping you bridge the communication gap between yourself and your dog. Each day is a new challenge. No two dogs are alike so working out the best training method and options that fit each situation is the best part of my job. And seeing the happy graduates with their families.

Dog Training

Our GSD was a rescue pup from an owner that paid for a pure breed GSD, but once she got too large wasn’t ready for the responsibility. We took her in, and we just couldn’t reach out to her. She tortured our elderly 11 year old GSD mix, and caused our old girl so much stress. Hilton was our last resort... we are two days removed from her full camp experience, and she’s a different dog. She listens! She is a little challenging, but WOW it’s night and day. We will be recommending Hilton to EVERYONE!

Dog Training

We took our very determined Labradoodle Luke to stay with them and he came back a different dog. Love the potty on command aspect great work. Kennel training was great as well. Luke isn't perfect but they will be actually coming here for follow ups soon

Dog Training

Hilton is very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. We are still working on our training, but Hilton did a great job laying the foundation for our puppy to be the perfect dog. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Dog Training - Board and Train

Our Aussie pup went in as a typical 12week old, somewhat potty and crate trained, a nipper & jumper, hard to leash walk, not coming on command, etc. She came back from 4 weeks with Hilton and his entire family as a very obedient and calm 4 month old. Amazing! No jumping, nipping and now very easy to leash walk and take outside off leash without fear of bolting. She obviously was very fond of the whole time, bonded well with Hilton, but rejoined our family seamlessly. First ever trip to the dog park the 2nd day home and it was very impressive to see her meet new dog owners by approaching and sitting, not going crazy jumping up and such. It's exactly what you want in a dog. Thanks Hilton and family for taking great care of Daisy and teaching her how to be an obedient pup.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My standard programs (Puppy, Basic, and Advanced) are all the same time frame (4 weeks) and the same price. I have specialized programs for dogs with fear, anxiety, and aggression that may have different pricing.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After initial contact I prefer that my office speaks with the client to confirm that the program I recommended based on the information provided in Thumbtack is the correct program. At that point my office will gather some information from the client and email our paperwork. I do require a 50% deposit to hold a reservation as I take a limited number of dogs each month to work with. If the client would like to come out to my location and visit I encourage that as well. It is a quick and easy process.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was the Sergeant in Charge of Aggression Training for the Department of Defense Dog Training School for 3 years while in the United States Air Force. Prior to that I was a K-9 Handler for the USAF for 6 1/2 years. I have been in business since 2005 in the civilian world and have worked with over 1400 dogs since opening my doors. Dog training is not a "business" that you learn in books. Dog training is a skill that you learn through experience.
