About
I have over 20 years of dog training experience. My board and train program is conducted in my home so that your dog can learn good manners in a home setting. I focus on helping you bridge the communication gap between yourself and your dog.
Each day is a new challenge. No two dogs are alike so working out the best training method and options that fit each situation is the best part of my job. And seeing the happy graduates with their families.

Hilton Butler truly helped our dog become part of the family. I wish we had found Hilton first. Sadly, we wasted money on other trainer’s that promised a lot but did not deliver.
Upon our arrival to drop Aia off we sat down and went over all the items we needed help with. Hilton and his team worked on each of those items. Aia has been home from her training about 3 weeks and she is doing fantastic! Very happy we found Hilton and definitely recommend him.

His hour he spent with us after her training was very well done. He showed allot of the things we should be doing. I just have to work with her myself to get her to behave like he could.

Hilton is very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. We are still working on our training, but Hilton did a great job laying the foundation for our puppy to be the perfect dog. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Hilton was great. We're not done yet, but what he taught me has already helped me deal with my dog. Hilton came to my home and coached me on how to correct the Boston Terrier I recently rescued. More importantly, he taught me how to establish my dominance. (I didn't even know that some of the things my dog was doing were to establish dominance over me!) Before Hilton came, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep my destructive boy, but now I have hope! Thank you Hilton!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard programs (Puppy, Basic, and Advanced) are all the same time frame (4 weeks) and the same price. I have specialized programs for dogs with fear, anxiety, and aggression that may have different pricing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After initial contact I prefer that my office speaks with the client to confirm that the program I recommended based on the information provided in Thumbtack is the correct program. At that point my office will gather some information from the client and email our paperwork. I do require a 50% deposit to hold a reservation as I take a limited number of dogs each month to work with. If the client would like to come out to my location and visit I encourage that as well. It is a quick and easy process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was the Sergeant in Charge of Aggression Training for the Department of Defense Dog Training School for 3 years while in the United States Air Force. Prior to that I was a K-9 Handler for the USAF for 6 1/2 years. I have been in business since 2005 in the civilian world and have worked with over 1400 dogs since opening my doors. Dog training is not a "business" that you learn in books. Dog training is a skill that you learn through experience.
