Introduction: I realize that there is no shortage of instructors you can use to get your private baseball lessons from in Dallas/Fort Worth. I have been a coach and a student of the game of baseball for over 15 years. I hold certifications in USSSA, NYSCA, and TAAF. I teach the game from a psychological stand point as well as physical preparedness. My lessons are true fundamental based and designed for ages 12 and under but can be modified for over 12. I started The Edge because I have a real passion to teach the game of baseball. The ability to help a kid improve their level of baseball and to see that progression during the time I have the privilege to work with them drives that passion. When a kid unlocks hidden qualities or abilities that lead to success and realizes their potential; that is when I have done my job. I am not in this to get rich. I am in this to make ball players.

My son is a 11yro lefty that has been pitching going on 3rd season. We have been through 2 other pitching coaches. Just have not found the right one until we met Randall last year at a Regional tournament in Burleson. Right from the first lesson my son and Randall formed a bond. I believe there is a certain coach for every kid and Randall is that for mine. Randall believes in fundamentally based work ethic and works extraordinarily well with kids and pulls the best out of them. If your wanting a personal pitching coach that will give your child fundamental base pitching for a higher level of pitching then Randall is the man.

Randy is an exceptional instructor. My 14yo son really understood the tips he was giving him. It's the little things that make a difference and Randy took him to the next level. We are looking forward to the pitching lessons. Thanks Randy for all your hard work and dedication.

My son has been using the Edge Baseball instructional clinic for a while now. His pitching has improved tremendously. He is playing select baseball and has a very good Era. He has come a long way since he started working with Randy.

Coach Russ is very informative and knows the Mechanics of the sport.He made my son very comfortable with the way he's teaching him to help I'm prove himself to become a better baseball player.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very easy. I charge 50.00 for a single lesson. If you choose, you can sign up for 4 lessons at 170.00 or 8 for 300.00. I do offer payment options for the 8 lesson package for those that need it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will typically charge a one time fee to see if I am a fit for the athlete. There is no reason to sign a long term deal if I am not what the athlete needs. I can usually draw this conclusion after the first meeting. I will not waste your time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a coach for more than 15 years. I have taken courses through USSSA, TAAF, and NYSEA. I take the time to learn your kid and teach to the level they are on in order to move them to the level he/she needs to be on.
