Hired on Thumbtack

DJ was absolutely awesome to work with. He honored his commitment with excellence, made sure that the job was professionally done, ensure that his guys cleaned up behind themselves and gave me a great value for the work performed. I highly recommend him and plan to use him on other projects

Hired on Thumbtack

This company was good at selling me at what they would accomplish, but it went all downhill from there. I had a driveway extension in the front, and stamped concrete in the back. They subcontracted the job from day 1, which was expected, but the sub contractor then sent out what seemed like guys I could have found on the side of home depot. Each day, guys would show up, and would sit around for hours doing nothing, as they would have no tools or materials. The job was messy, they cut corners, the end result was less than satisfactory. I had a sub contractor contact me as to why Trinity Construction Services didn’t pay them. Trinity Construction Services would tell me while the job was happening, “don’t tell the workers what you are paying me.” Very unprofessional. There would be days I would sit and wait for workers to show up, only to be told one excuse after another. What was promised to be a 2 day, maybe 3 day max job, ended up being 2 weeks and still incomplete. I fired them at the 2 week mark because the crews who were hired just weren’t cut out for the job. I had demo material sitting in my yard, killing my grass for about 2 weeks. There was dust buried in my grass, with dumped concrete at various parts of my property. I was told by the sub-contractor that Trinity Construction Services wouldn’t provide the acid to clean the driveway. They told me that they were hired as labor only. All in all, I was left with ugly finish, incomplete sealing, and a dispute between contractos, sub-contractors, and workers. Trinity Construction Services claimed they had a plan to make everything right, but the bulk of the installation was messy and ugly, and we felt unheard. I know for a fact that my punch list was impossible to complete with this company. What started out as a great sales pitch, turned into a very unfortunate situation. Out of my total bill, I tried reasoning with them to reduce the cost, and I was met with threats to have a lien put on my property. We settled for just a slight bit less, but the job is less than desirable. We anticipated something beautiful, and ended up with a chap finish, and horrible details. I was told excuse after excuse. I was told that “I have met many customers like you, never satisfied, impossible to please. The job was not cheap, and I expected it to be pristine. I could have hired the workers myself had I wanted this sort of finish. This company will put the blame on the customer and their sub-contractors first rather than looking in the mirror and owning up to it. In the end, Trinity Construction Services made their money, and were let off the hook without having to check their job and correct misrakes along the way. IF YOU WANT A PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, AND NOT BE CALLED NAMES AND CONSTANTLY REFER TO THEIR WORKERS AS WORKING ON MEXICAN STANDARD TIME AND OTHER UNPROFESSIONAL REMARKS, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Trinity Construction Services's reply
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating construction delays and miscommunication can be. We would like to clarify a few points for anyone reading: • We use licensed and vetted subcontractors on all concrete projects, which is a standard practice in the industry. -Trinity Construction Services • At no point do we condone unprofessional language, disrespect toward customers or workers, or any behavior that makes a homeowner uncomfortable. This is being taken seriously and reviewed internally. • As with any project, we attempted to honor the scope of work, address your concerns, and complete the punch-list items you requested, and we regret that we were not given the opportunity to finish the corrective work we proposed. Although we ultimately reached a settlement and closed out the project, it’s unfortunate that the situation escalated the way it did. We wish the communication on all sides had been more productive so that the project could have ended with a better result for everyone involved. We remain committed to delivering quality workmanship, professional subcontractors, and clear communication for all future customers. If you would like to discuss anything further directly, we’re still available and willing to speak offline to ensure all remaining concerns are addressed.
