I can’t even start to say how pleased I was with the outcome. I started with just some calligraphy on a card and ended up with a custom card and envelope Amazing work, quick and better than I could have ever expected Highly recommended

Candis not only took time to make sure she understood what I wanted, but she gave ideas for what style to pick from based on who I was giving it to. She worked around an insanely tight deadline and gave me KILLER work for such a great price. If you need calligraphy, she is THE place to go!!

Working with Candis was a dream. I had a very specific project in my mind but needed an expert to execute it. A She listened, asked brilliant questions during our consultation, and ultimately added the flourishes needed to make my project perfect. Her attention to detail, responsiveness to my project needs, and thorough follow-through make her an ideal creative to work with. The portal she uses for her business makes everything from communication to payment is so streamlined and slick that you feel taken care of from the first email. Working with Candis was a luxury concierge experience and the end product was precisely what was in my mind made into reality. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Each job starts with a free, 30-minute consultation. During that consultation, we discuss your ideas, timeline and budget. I make design recommendations, if necessary and together, we develop the project plan. If we decide to work together, I create and send an invoice detailing what we’ve discussed. After I receive the invoice back from the client, I officially add their project to my calendar. A rough sketch is designed and sent to the client for approval or changes. Once the rough sketch is approved, I begin working on the final product according to the agreed upon timeline. As the project is nearing completion, I send a final invoice for the balance of the payment, if applicable, and coordinate a pick up time or shipping arrangements with the client.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I’ve long admired beautiful penmanship and after planning my wedding & looking for calligraphers in the area, I realized there was space in this industry for me! I began learning more about calligraphy as a whole and began building my stationery and ink supply. After booking my first job (pre-Thumbtack), I knew that I’d truly found my happy place! The age old adage of "if you build it, they will come" truly applies here! Almost immediately after getting started, things took off pretty quickly and I've enjoyed every moment of it!
