FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is a simple for lawns. It is sq ft x $ amount= price for yard. I charge more for a 1 time than I do for a recurring account. The reason is not to do much with the fact that I'll make more money from a repeat customer it is because I have control over that repeat customers property. I can cut down my time by learning the shortcuts. With a one time cut you don't have that option. For construction and demo I just figure cost of equipment , fuel and labor then add myself 20%. KISS. I would rather have 100 $1000 jobs that lead to more work than 1 $100,000 job that is full of charge backs and complaints because the customer realizes that they accepted a bid that was way too high and now they are contractually bound. An unhappy contractor or contractee just makes a horrible work environment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Equipment. Always researching and testing to find value and speed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a hand made card from 8 yrs old offering lawncare. My great grandpa was my first customer. I have done the corporate thing for years and I am poorer but much happier now.
