I no longer come to a job as an employee of a company. No more middle man! I have over 20 yrs. experience in painting and 18 in drywall tape/float. I worked along side some of Austin's finest and now I decided to branch out. So believe, my customers get the best quality of work and customer service.
I love starting a job, from the demolition to the final walk through, I am involved. From the preparations to the apllications of various products and seeing the customers satisfied is what brings me joy.

I had Lewis repair some nail pops and other small drywall patches. Lewis is awesome! He does what he says he's going to do when he says he'll do it! If he's running late, he lets you know! He takes care to protect your belongings, and cleans up after himself! I will probably hire him to paint for me in the future!!

I have been renovating for what feels like 500 years (ok maybe more like one). We redid or replaced every single surface and fixed item in the house, no exaggeration, apart from the garage. People often say how expensive and stressful the reno process is, and I never really took it seriously until now. It's a very delicate balance of quality work, cost control and scheduling, and trying to find people you can trust to do it right can be a needle in a haystack proposition.
At this point, I've interacted with a LOT of contractors of various trades. Austin's Own is a local family business, and I like to support those just on principle, but on top of it, they're just awesome. The prices are extremely reasonable, and what you get for your money is astonishing. They're very popular for a reason - Lewis, Roger, Mike and their crew are not just very skilled painters, they're also super professional, totally honorable and just really nice people. They do beautiful drywall repairs, the cabinetry and wall paint is gorgeous, and the house looks better than ever. Don't even bother getting other estimates - you can't do better than this.

Lewis sanded and sprayed my cabinets as well as took out a pony wall in my kitchen to open it up. Everything looks great and I would hire him and his crew again to do any related work.

He showed up on time and was the first to respond to me from thumbtack. I hired him on the spot because he was professional and outlined exactly what he was going to do to get my kitchen the way I wanted it. He also did 2 sheetrock repairs for a very reasonable price. I hired him 3 days later for another painting job at the salon I manage and he delivered exactly what I wanted.

Lewis came in and turned our previous contractor nightmare into a dream! Our new home was in shambles after a previous contractor left a popcorn removal job unfinished and the little work he had done was horrendous. Lewis was kind, courteous, provided references that were helpful and honest about how great he was. Lewis then was great about communicating with us, on time and his crew was efficient and hard-working! His finished product was so good, we are hiring him again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Always best to know what you're up against! I can say most rooms 8×10 $120 to $320 again all rooms have different layouts some less trim than others some need patch work no job is the same.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe it takes money to make money. I do my best to help whether it's supplying some material to budgeting paint price with labor. My customer will always have an honest list of products being used. A very well thought out plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well over 20 years in the field. Worked full time for a couple companies and sub-contracted for numerous of contractors.
