Introduction: Hi there! My name is André, and I am the founder of The Cadenza Company School of Music. We provide quality music lessons to students of all ages. We offer piano, voice, guitar, bass, ukulele, flute, drums, songwriting, and music production classes. By providing a fun environment in which our students can excel, we inspire them to discover and develop skills that will generate a lifelong passion for creating music, whether through composition or performance. I am 17 years old and I cannot begin to say how happy I am with The Cadenza Company School of Music. Ever since I was a kid, my parents forced me into piano lessons, which I never wanted to take and from which I never really learned anything, despite years of lessons. About a year ago, the only thing I knew was the intro to a classical piece which I did not even know the name of. One year has passed since I started taking lessons with André at Cadenza, and I am now composing my own music. I am actually excited to go to class and keep on learning and experimenting more. Cadenza has given me this almost unquenchable thirst to learn, experiment, and appreciate music like I have never done before. If you are taking the time out of your day to fully read this, first of all, I thank you, but second of all I only ask for one thing. Just give it a try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I know for a fact you will come to love the experience Cadenza offers as much as I have.

Great instruction with the perfect balance of approachability, challenge and fun. Nothing will help you grow like a great teacher! I have studied piano with The Cadenza Company as an adult, and my third graders have flourished under the same teacher, too! In a family otherwise dominated by sports, all three of us look forward to our lessons each week. One of my boys has to work harder than the other for the same amount of progress, and our teacher is truly gifted in figuring out how to most effectively communicate with and motivate each student. Both kids feel good about their progress and have grown as musicians. Although we’ve taken lessons for 2 years in-person, it’s incredible how productive and successful our virtual lessons are, during this time of social distancing.

Our kids have loved having music lessons here since the first day we started them and I, as a musician myself, love them as well. Unlike many other schools, the teachers are top notch professionals who have a keen eye on technique and structure that is critical for young learners. These foundations are what make or break future success. They are able to navigate the fine line between structure and fun, keeping my kids excited to have a lesson each week. I would highly recommend both new and skilled musicians to invest their time with this school!

Cadenza company school of music is wonderful. My 10 year old takes guitar lessons and my 4 year old takes piano. They both love going to class and have learned so much. André is very patient and makes lessons fun and educational. I highly recommend Cadenza.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by giving out a FREE trial lesson in which the student gets the opportunity to discuss his goals and preferences, and, of course, gets an actual introductory lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to several years of experience in teaching music, André, the director, has a Bachelor in Music Composition & Audio Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration with concentration in Music Business. Our other teachers have different degrees in music, including Voice & Piano Pedagogy, Music Education, and Music Performance.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Teaching music usually starts as a part-time job during college years—that was the case with every teacher here at Cadenza. After graduating with a music major, we discovered a newly found passion in this field and have, ultimately, made it our full-time profession.
