I hired Houston Area Concrete to come and assess a shed slab that had been previously poured by a non-professional, unqualified concrete company. They came out quickly saw that old slab had not been formed or poured correctly. They gave me a very fair price to perform the job. The next day they showed up, busted up the old slab, hauled it away and had the new slab formed, poured and finished all within six hours. The new slab is beautiful, level and pristine. I will use Houston Area Concrete for all of my future concrete projects! You cannot go wrong with these guys! Wish I would have found them sooner.

Scot and his crew did a fantastic job with my concrete patio. It was a more intricate design with a brick inlay pattern, specific grade for proper water drainage, built in footers for a future pergola, and electrical stub ups, and they nailed it. I’m very satisfied with the work.

Houston Area Concrete removed an old broken patio and poured a new patio for me. In the course of the installation there were a few hiccups but they stood behind their work and made everything right again. I would be happy to use them again.

I hired Scott to re-build the driveway, and I'm glad I did. Scott did everything; permit paperwork, removal of the old concrete, and installing the new driveway. The whole job was completed in 8 hours flat with no delay. the work was great and the price was competitive. I'm Very Happy & Thankful to Scott and his crew.

I wish that all the contractors were like Scott at Houston Area Concrete. He responded so fast to every phone call or text. He never talked down to me. He followed my instructions which were numerous because I had 6 concrete slabs of various sizes to pour on my acreage property in one project. He was cautious around all of the underground lines that I marked for him. He made my wife so very happy by giving her an "S" curved front sidewalk. He took a verbal concept and made it happen. (I'm a hero at home now thanks to Scott.) The price was very fair. And just as a finishing touch, he moved some excess dirt to right where I needed it without me even needing to ask him to do that. He has a great crew. They are quiet, efficient, and get about their business the moment that they step out of their truck. He did what he said he would do in terms of thickness and rebar. He showed up when he said that he would. He did all of the work in one day. And he left me with instructions on how to treat the concrete as it cures. What more can you ask for?

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most sidewalks, and driveways - $6 - $7 per SqFt * it fluctuates depending on concrete thickness, demo/haul off, how much rebar is used, etc...
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Receive request for quote. Give them an idea of what it's going to cost. Walk the location with customer, and give a firm turnkey proposal. Contract the proposal and 35% down to get started. Complete work with 100% total customer satisfaction. Collect the remaining Balance. Payment terms are adjustable per customer. Ask for a review and referrals
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am college educated, and am a Army Combat Veteran. I have over 15 years of Commercial/Residential Concrete Construction experience. From self performing all the way up to now owning my own company. I have a professional working crew of highly skilled concrete rod busters and finishers.
