FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly train. Currently I am in a Mentorship Program under Vivienne Mackinder and have trained with Ann Bray, Eric Fisher, Dennis Clendennan, and many other top professionals. I also compete and have placed in a few national contests for color, cut & style.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to paint back in college and really enjoyed the arts. After getting my MBA and working as a corporate executive I missed my artistic side and wanted to make more of a difference in people's lives, be more social and get back to art. I've found cosmetology allows me to be artistic, helpful and still use my business skills. I feel completely free creatively and enjoy doing a variety of things within the industry: fashion, bridal, makeovers, special occasion, and avant garde competitions.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I get a great deal of cuts and color work. I've recently been doing quite a few special occasion packages for hair and makeup. I work with a lot of musicians, models and artists for photo shoots.
