FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
// INDIVIDUALS Cost varies depending on the type of shoot (family portraits, professional headshots, graduation, etc.) but general falls around $175-250 for an hour session. For event photography (~50 people or less), my rate is $125/hr with a 2-hour minimum. // ORGANIZATIONS This is a more involved conversation since scope can vary greatly but generally speaking my half day rate (4 hrs) is ~$550 and day rate (8 hrs) is ~$1110.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. When you contact me, my goals are to understand your goals, mood, and any preferences you may have. 2. I take a 50% deposit to confirm the shoot and the remaining balance is paid once you've received the photos. 3. I love shooting with natural light and gravitate towards locations that reflect that (outdoor locations, natural light studio, etc.) 4. I'm good at getting folks comfortable with me and being in front of the camera. I'm happy to provide a lot direction, if needed, especially around posing and angles. 5. For approximately each hour of shooting, I'll select the best 20-30 photos and edit them in Lightroom and Photoshop. 6. My turnaround time is 5 business days but usually happens sooner. 7. You'll receive a digital album from me via an email link to a site called Pixieset. Your photo folder will be private and password protected, and you have 30 days to download the images.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been shooting professionally for 8 years now and have a strong arts and design background that comes through my work - especially when it comes to color and composition. Formally, I have a Bachelor’s or Science in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin and bring a strategic storytelling lens to my commercial photography work. Outside of photography, I also freelance as a creative producer and experience designer.
