- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $225.00 for a 1040 which includes a Schedule A, $250 for an Amended Tax Return. Additional schedules and depending on the complexity, I charge between $25.00 to $100.00. I do not charge a separate fee for electronically filing your tax return. Right now... I am preparing current and prior tax returns. And, I usually accept various cash apps and cash payments with all due upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically... I have a initial phone consultation where we discuss the tax return and any unique tax situation. Then... during an initial meeting or via email, I collect payment and gather all the tax documents needed to prepare the tax return. If needed, I contact the client to keep them involved in the tax preparation process. I may email updates on the process if needed and then I present two copies of each tax return at our final meeting or email the tax return in PDF format to the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed an ove 40 Continuing Educational Credits (CPE) in 2020, which included extensive tax law refresher courses; included information on the new tax laws regarding the CARES Act. I also attend virtual IRS webinars regarding changes to the IRS tax law and procedures.
