Hiring Next Tax Advisors was the single worst decision I have ever made! I worked with Randall Klein, and I had so many issues with him! Using their services has cost us a great deal of money in taxes and business fees that we would not have incurred if we hired a CPA. We had a brand new business, and he never bothered to provide us with any guidance with regard to paying estimated taxes! Thankfully, in Jan of 2024, I happened to ask if we should be paying estimated taxes (which unbeknownst to me were due 1/15), and he replied, “Probably, but I don’t know how much tax was withheld in paychecks for you in 2023. I also don’t have a final 2022 Form 1040 for you, so I cannot tell you how much.” I responded and let him know the exact date in Sept 2023 that I sent the tax returns, along with the date in October that I sent a questionairre containing the necessary information, as well as the date in early Dec 2023 when I emailed him the first two pages of last year’s tax return along with a paystub that had all of the necessary information for him to calculate the estimated taxes. He replied that he found my email but he was unable to download the returns because he does not have an Apple ID. I had sent these 4 months prior, and he never bothered to let me know he could not download the returns! However, his reply did include the necessary information on the amount of estimated taxes we needed to pay, so he obviously found the email where I had sent the first two pages of the return! Therefore, he did have the information, and should have sent the proper guidance about paying these taxes! After signing their contract in 9/2023, they asked us to provide the tax returns and sent a link to their client portal, but their portal will not accept attachments over 25mb and all pdf tax returns are larger than this size even with file compression! What tax service doesn’t have a portal that allows file sizes large enough for clients to send their tax returns? I had to figure out a way to share the returns with them, so I sent an icloud link. If he would have told me (at any point during the 4 months from when I sent the iCloud link) that he could not download the returns, I would have shared the files a different way. If I had not asked about paying estimated taxes, he was never going to tell me, and we would have paid huge fines and penalties! After this exchange, I sent him a link to download the tax files from my Google drive, but he still did not bother to download the returns! He was rude and patronizing. He told me I needed to open a new LLC to form an S corp, that I could not form one with my existing LLC, and I have been told by 3 different CPAs this is absolutely false! I had to form another business at great expense, and as such we transacted business under our old LLC and the new S corp when it could have been one business all treated as an S corp, this mistake is costing us a great deal of money! He never provided information in advance, I had to ask, and he would provide it in dribs and drabs, and I would have to send multiple emails to get answers. If I asked a question, he would reply treating me like an idiot for not knowing the answer. If I tried to guess and ask him if that was accurate, he would be more condescending. Seriously, who mocks and ridicules a client? He is the most arrogant person I have ever dealt with! He inadvertenly emailed me a copy of my email answering questions he sent me that he had forwarded to someone in his office with sentence mocking me to his co worker! When I confronted him about it, he fabricated a tale about what he was implying! We paid him well over $3k, and he never filed any tax returns for us. After he mocked me, I wrote a letter to cancel our contract, and I asked that he not charge us again the next monthly $400 installment. He responded with a long email ridiculing me further and sent an invoice for the installment which I will be disputing! I could go on and on. Save yourself and look elsewhere! You will NOT save money working with Randall! We have lost thousands beause I made the unfortunate decision of choosing Next Tax Advisors! I have worked with hundreds of businesses in the last 30 years, and hands down this is the WORST experience I have ever had!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for individual returns is based on the Forms & Schedules used. Unusually complex returns may also require hourly billing. Billing for corporate matters is usually on an hourly basis. I don't believe in "nickle and dime" charges, such as extra charges for phone calls and copies and faxing. This is all included in my work rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you agree to have me work on your case, I will email our Client Info forms to you. If we are not going to meet in person, you may send me your documents via Secure Web Portal or via Secure Fax. Email is not recommended for security purposes. I respond to all submissions within 1 business day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a certificate in accounting, I have an Associate's degree in accounting, and I have 2 other college degrees, including an Masters in Business Administration (MBA). I have been licensed as an expert in Federal Taxation by the US Treasury (IRS) and have the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation for more than 20 years.
