Introduction: Whether you are beginning or advanced, I teach all levels and ages: from 5-year-old kids to adults cello and violin. I prefer Suzuki, but can adapt to any method you would prefer. I believe theory is just as important as proper posture. My main instrument is cello, which I have studied since I was 5 years old.
I currently only have 45 and 60 minutes slots on Saturdays available.
I love teaching and believe music is everything. I expect the parents to be as involved as the student.

When I first contacted Amanda, it was about violin lessons for two children, a three year old and a four year old. Although I played cello as a child, I was worried about whether or not a cello was in our start up budget. Mind you, I was considering lessons for two children. After texting with a very patient and thorough Amanda (thank you), I learned that my three year old was probably a little young, and that Amanda herself is a cellist. It seemed meant to me. From picking Lachlan's cello, to reassuring me and calming my nerves, and pointing me in the right direction for study materials that supplement her lessons, she has been unbelievable from the start. She is a 360 degree instructor. Lachlan has had one lesson at Amanda's house and one here so far. Both lessons were pleasant, informative and at a great pace for a child Lachlan's age. Not only was it engaging, but the way she teaches allows for retention from one week to another. My three year old insists every time Lachlan and I take out his cello to practice that he is old enough! Which I absolutely love. Lachlan loves his cello and things are never super cool when Moms say, so I give Amanda all the credit. I even bought myself a new cello. Amanda has awaken a curiosity around music in all of us. I did not know whether to start with sports or music, and I am glad I started here with her. Please do yourselves a favor and send her a short text with questions and concerns. She will answer all your questions and she will do away with your concerns. She is better than google. I am not exaggerating. Thank me later. Happy learning.
