Introduction: What I've found in my 30 years of living in the USA and years teaching the American Accent is that for professionals, their technical skills and know-how are fairly the same across the board. What makes the difference is confidence, and making that connection with people that will get you the job, the raise, and the opportunity you have been dreaming about. When viewed from that perspective, speaking well, and connecting with key people may actually be just as important, if not more important, than your actual professional skills.
My lessons focus on the practical use of English and areas of need which usually is discovered after the first few lessons. Many students believe they lack grammar skills, but usually pronunciation and comprehension are what they truly need , which is why I focus on practical speech in real world situations- not just classwork. The lessons are taught with the goal of really making English part of your life, and being able to speak at a more native level.
I also focus on accent reduction (aka American Accent training), which is important to many foreign born professionals.
The time it takes to develop the accent depends on each student. I have some that do very well in a couple of months due to hard work, and daily practice. The first level will be understanding what you are doing that doesn't match the American Accent. The second level, is self-correction. The third level, is speaking fluently at a near native level. I think you'll truly benefit from and enjoy the lessons.
After the first few lessons, I'll be able to determine what the student needs, and develop a game plan to address them. One of the most effective features of my teaching program is the daily practice that students receive as part of my course (no additional charge). This really helps students to make rapid progress, if they take advantage of this fantastic feature. To begin, I would recommend two classes per week to take advantage of the student's motivation, which will result in rapid progress.
Thank you,

I love seeing students make progress, smile, and laugh when they see how well they are doing. Giving people the confidence to go out and reach their goals is a huge reward. I had a Chinese student that, after a few classes, went out door to door and spoke with prospective employers and quickly got his accounting position! I hope the same for you as well.
