Kristen was polite, thoughtful, and paid great attention to detail. The bidding process was quick and detailed. The time between approval and scheduling was fast. The crew was courteous, dependable, professional, hard working, and efficient. Juan and Kristen both made regular site progress visits. It was very refreshing to not have to manage their crew.It was also nice to be contacted when a change order was necessary before the point of no return. I was given a cheaper (temporary) option, and the choice of the more expensive (permanent solution) option. I went with the more expensive but I appreciate being afforded the courtesy to decide.I would certainly recommend them to any other Community Managers.

It took over 25 days from start to finish to build our new fence. While I understand right now is a hard time to find materials, the job should have never started unless all materials were available. The first day the crew started, they had to stop because they did not have enough posts. The second day they ran out of concrete. The third day they ran out of lumber for rot boards. The fourth day we found out the incredibly cheap gate latches left us all stuck in our backyards with no way to get back out. There were also gaps and holes as well as different types of wood that did not match. We were not impressed by the way the project manager spoke to the building crew whom we later found out were sub contracted. The crew was not allowed to purchase the materials so all of the untreated wood and incorrect latches were purchased by the owners. We had to call them back out to fix multiple problems including crooked gate doors and multiple nails protruding from the gate. I will give the company the benefit of the doubt that they attempted to fix the problems but this is not what I had expected considering we were paying top dollar for pine fencing. I assumed since the owner lived and worked in our neighborhood that we would get the utmost attention to detail. Boy was I wrong. The part that has thrown me over the edge was the way Mike spoke to my husband in a threatening manner about a Nextdoor app post which was completely truthful. I cannot in good conscience recommend a new fence from this company. We paid the remainder of our amount owed just to be done with this very frustrating and disappointing experience.I am finding more problems with my fence everyday. Multiple pickets are not even nailed down to the rot board. Also, the majority of these 5 star reviews are friends and family of employees or do not even live in this area. I wish I had known that before doing my research on this company.

At DR Roofing and Construction, we always strive for 100% customer satisfaction but, we know that sometimes even with the best of intentions and capabilities, that might not always happen. We would never want a client dissatisfied in our services. We did make adjustments and were told by all parties involved that they were satisfied. I want to take the time to publicly address some of things you pointed out in your google review. -When we first started your job, we had no idea we were going to be in a NATION WIDE LUMBER SHORTAGE. COVID-19 has slowed the production of many manufactures of lumber, concrete, shingles, etc. -The “incredibly cheap” gate latches are part of a sag free gate kit recommended in southeast Texas due to the excessive amount of moisture we get in this area. We had no problem replacing them with upgraded version for you immediately. -As far as our “sub-contractors” not being allowed to purchase materials that is just false. We have accounts with every supplier in town and they do phone sales all day long, but at the time the lumber became extremely limited. -During the weekend of inclement weather we put temporary boards (as you showed in your photos to be the completed project) in place of the back ordered lumber because we feared that a dog may be able to sneak through. We informed the homeowners of this and they seemed to be appreciative. -There were several days of rain that delayed the completion of the project. Unfortunately, the ground was entirely too wet to dig and set concrete. -We did ask politely for the NextDoor review to be removed upon completion, since to our knowledge we had corrected any issues. -We consider all of our customers to be part of the DR Roofing and Construction family. We are a local business and some of our customers are Church members, neighbors, realtors, HOA members, property managers, local police officers and firefighters, doctors, friends and family. All of which have utilized our services. Or clientele is not only in League City, but the greater Houston and surrounding area. We have apologized on multiple occasions for any confusion. Now we are publicly addressing the newest updated negative review, which depicts deceptive photos of the job in progress, not the completed product. At a certain point we must agree to disagree. We wish you nothing the best moving forward.

DR roofing and construction did an awesome job on my deck and fence. Showed up on time even picked up extra nails with a metal detector when they were done. When you call ask for Kristen she will take care of you.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer very competitive pricing on all of our work. We are rarely the "Cheapest" or the most expensive. We take pride in customer satisfaction more than trying to cut corners for price. All pricing including any permits required to do the project will be clearly explained to all of our customers on their free estimate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Starting with conversation over the phone/text/email to understand what the client is looking for. We make sure their requested project fits under our scope of work as we will not undertake a project that we cannot guarantee 100% customer satisfaction on. We then schedule an appointment with the client to review the project and provide our free estimate to complete the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our employees go through our rigorous process including conferences, seminars, video training and updated daily training before becoming a true professional.
