Introduction: I have a unique combination of a culinary degree and currently attending school for natural medicine. I have a deep appreciation for whole foods, nutrient filled produce, and dishes that never lack flavor. I believe that just because something is healthy doesn't mean it has to be boring or even gross and I think that is something we all need more of. I LOVE to cook. It's not something that ever feels like work to me and getting to share that with others brings me no greater joy. I love to help people feel better and more than anything I love to create an unforgettable experience for them. I think eating is a full experience and should combine all the senses and all the people we love. That's what it's all about.

Tia is a great chef and is very creative with her cooking. She has cooked for me many times in my home and I have never had anything I didn't like. She enjoys making lots of different cuisines and does a wonderful job! Her food is always very flavorful, beautiful, authentic, and delicious. I have also given her the task of cooking with whatever she can find in my house when I'm at a loss, and she always seems to create healthy, delicious meals for my family. I highly recommend her as a chef!

There is so much to be said about Tia Wirkus and her cooking . I am gluten free and that is limted diet and she dose a hevenly job . I can get gluten free food I don"t normely get and she bakes veary well . I love this women and all that she dose . He food is so lovely persnted and the spichel ingreadent is love you can taste it the hard work and dectashion she has . This women cooks and bake with a heart and sole never over look her she is worth every chance she gets .

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've just recently looking into being a personal chef, I think it would be a great opportunity for me to continue to hone my skills. I've also been looking into cooking competitions in the area that I may compete in. Not to mention all the wonderful documentaries that have been coming out lately. I also am doing online school for natural medicine so I'm working hard to combine the two degrees.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Even when I was a young girl I would cook dinner for my family of 7. My mother was actually a horrible cook and I would come in the kitchen and fix it for her. She always inspired me to experiment in the kitchen which lead me to discover my gifts. I decided at a young age that I would go to culinary school and I never deterred from that goal. The more I got into cooking, the better I realized I was and that I actually could compete with some of the best. Out of my graduating class there were only 3 girls out of 20 men. I take great pride knowing I could hold my own in such a demanding industry.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I would love to be a cooking instructor to any cooking level preferably in your home. I'm also interested in being a personal chef in your home to provide your family with meals.
