- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Riding Lessons: Technical Lesson: $50 plus distance Technical Lesson w/ Life Coaching: $50 plus distance Equestrian Yoga, unmounted class: $20/person (if 5 or more people, $50/private), plus travel fee Equestrian Yoga, unmounted and mounted class (no yoga on the horses, don't worry): $45/person plus travel fee, $100 private yoga/ride session. Life Coaching at a Show: $65/regular clients, $100/hr for temporary clients Training Rides: $50/ride 1x a week, $40/ride for 2x a week or if you get the horse ready, $35/ride for 3 or more rides/week. Diagnostic Ride: $100/hr (To drive out, ride your horse and give an assessment of what what I as a professional suggest you focus on making your goal/your path with your equine partner). Life Coaching session w/ you and your horse: $100/hr Raindrop therapy: $60/1 round, approx. 1hr if in addition to a lesson/coaching session, $100/hr to come out just for Raindrop Barn Teambuiliding/Community Building: $100/hr
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a phone call! I won't charge for the initial call to schedule/see if you like what I have to offer. If still interested, I will give you some homework and set up an appointment time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have held a prior certification with the American Riding Instructor's Association (level II Dressage and Eventing). I was certified with them from 2004-2008, and am working towards my level I with the United States Eventing Association. I am in an apprenticeship with my trainer who is a USEA level III instructor. I am a Certified Professional Life Coach (from the Life Coach Institute of Orange County), a certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200). I am also a veteran of 7.5 years in Yosemite National Park as a science instructor, backpacking guide, day hike guide, mounted patrol for YNP (summer 2009), and a Wilderness First Responder with the Wilderness Medical Institute. I am an alumni with the National Outdoor Leadership School, and I completed my semester of backpacking, river travel, rock climbing, and horse packing in May of 2005. I ran an equestrian program/was the barn manager at Camp Timberlane for Boys for 4 summers, and led backpacking and canoeing trips for the same camp for 3 summers. I also served as Director of their Trips program for a summer. I have a bachelor's degree (MA) in English Literature from Texas A&M University, class of 2002, cum laude.
