I've been an award winning photographer 15 years. I specialize in heirloom quality family and individual portraits that you'll want to have printed and hung on your wall.
We all have thousands of selfies and phone photos, but we've forgotten about the type of photo your grandparents would have passed down or had hanging in their living room. I'm here to bring that back.
Please understand, the calendar only represents my business hours. It's impossible for me to keep my entire business and personal schedule on Thumbtack. I always do my best to accommodate clients.
Please understand the limitations of Thumbtack in it's filters. Each project is different and prices quoted are based on an average photoshoot. It's best if we talk about your project before committing to a cost. I'm do not photograph newborns in the Anne Geddes style, but are welcome to be in a photograph with you.

Shane Kislack was absolutely awesome! I feel like I learned more from him in 2 1/2 hours than most could teach in 2 1/2 weeks. Not only are his photographs exceptional, he is very good at being able to teach this to someone else. Not everyone is good at that. I would recommend him to anyone who TRULY wants to have a good learning experience!! I will definitely have him come out again for another tutorial!!

I have hired Shane to work on several different photography and video projects. His portrait work, with individual, but especially with group, is outstanding. His ability to keep the shoot on track when dealing with the group of easily distracted individuals was very professional, while making everyone involved feel comfortable and "included".
Shane's eye for catching some great B roll shots for incidental use, without being asked, was on point, and happened without adding any additional stress or expense to the project. The project was able to come in on time , thanks to his fast turn around on the editing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a reasonable sitting fee of $350 to cover the cost of the initial conversation and subsequent planning stages. This price will include an 8x10 of your choosing and other packages will be available. Please visit my website for more information. People referred from Thumbtack are getting a discounted rate for a limited time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An integral part of the planning stage is to find out a few things that you'd like to achieve that you may not have thought about. Where would you like your shoot, in a studio or your favorite place (home/park)? Are you looking for a framed portrait to sit on on an end table or a large gallery wrapped portrait to hang above the couch? What will you wear and would you like a makeup artist? These are all things we consider so that everything runs smooth on portrait day. After the session we meet again and I show you a gallery of the portraits and you can choose which ones you'd like to print.
