- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hiring a CPA is not as expensive as you think or have been told. A modern CPA practice like KM Accountants leverages technology and years of experience to deliver very affordable and fair pricing and often times our pricing beats non-CPAs and always beats the traditional-not-so-modern CPA firms. Since I'm new on Thumbtack and I'm offering reduced pricing for tax preparation in exchange for an honest review of my services. For pricing on accounting and bookkeeping needs, please contact us for a listing of services offered which includes pricing. KM Accountants usually comes in cheaper than hiring a bookkeeper or Controller onsite. For Payroll services, please email us for a detailed proposal of services offered which includes pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I encourage all local clients to schedule an appointment so that we can meet. Non-local clients can schedule an online meeting and we can meet face to face... virtually. We can communicate via phone, email, text or virtual meetings whichever you prefer. Below is a detailed process for Tax clients: - I do my best to be as accommodating as I can. You can set up an in person, phone or online meeting appointment. - I will send you an invitation to use my secure file exchange portal provided by Intuit called Intuit Link to share documents needed to complete your return. Watch videos in Media section for more information. - Once you sign into Intuit Link, there will be an engagement letter for you to review and sign and a quick questionnaire for you to complete. Once you complete the questionnaire I will update the the list of documents for you to upload or bring to our appointment. - If you manage to upload any or all the documents prior to the appointment, there is a good chance I will have a draft or near ready draft for you to review when we meet. - During our meeting I will finalize your return, you can ask me any questions you have about your tax return or pretty much any question related to finances. - You sign your return, pay and I file and send you on your way with a copy. I will also upload a copy to Intuit Link. If your return cannot be finalized during our meeting for some reason, I will let you know why and when I will get it done. When its ready I will upload the return to the portal and you can e-sign the final version, no need to come back into the office and I can mail you a copy too. Accounting/ Bookkeeping Clients - Set up an in person, phone or online meeting for us to discuss your needs further as well as my background to see if there is a match. - Since no business is the same, I will send you a customized proposal for services. Our accounting services usually come in cheaper than having a bookkeeper or Controller/ CFO on site and we do a better job guaranteed. Payroll clients - We can take over all your payroll needs on your current system or we can migrate you/ set you up on our payroll service. - Please contact us for a detailed proposal with pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPA with over 10 years of experience. I have BBA in Accounting and a BBA in Finance. I am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Xero Certifed Advisor. As a CPA I am required to take minimum of 20 hours continuing professional education classes each year and a minimum of 120 CPE hours every 3 years including professional ethics. I am always current of all tax and accounting standards.
