FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Teaching- $20/hour Translations- Depends on length and language. My minimum for Spanish is $10, and $15 for Japanese. From there it tends to go for about $10/page.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, informally. I am no longer in college but I try to keep up with theory and trends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was actually by pure accident. I was originally going to be a chemistry major in college, but I flunked out of my requisite science courses and decided to fall back on the other thing I was good at in high school. Since then I haven't looked back, especially after winning a prize for my BA thesis- a translation of a 100-page novella into English from Spanish.
