Mike was 30 minutes late to our scheduled quote appointment, no call or warning. We were discussing two jobs. A patio roof, and new counter tops in my kitchen. He tried to explain a kitchen remodel is $10,000, and I stated I'm only doing new counter tops, those aren't $10,000. He then stated that granite is an expensive remodel, and I said I want quartz or man-made, not granite. I don't like granite and it's more expensive. He said no, they're the same. I said that can't be true, (according to every single linear price range online and in-stores). I wasn't rude, I just stated it doesn't make sense. Granite is always more expensive, and the next contractor agreed with me. Mike got offended and said he isn't interested in helping me if I'm going to disagree with him and his 20 years of experience. I tried to interject and explain my reasons of disagreeing, but he was pissed and so he started to walk out, while expressing disrespect. I told him not to let the door hit him on the way out. He got the last word in and told me "I wish I'd never come to this sh*ithole." REAL NICE GUY. Don't come into my house and talk to me that way. I can pay someone else to help me. If you don't want a small budget job, turn it down with grace.

I was looking for someone to do patio addition and cover. I had worked with someone else whom I trusted but he did not have the crew to do a larger job. Mike came over and gave me a good bid... took a while for him to get started but he has been good about communicating when I ask. He took care of it all - HOA approval, permits, and coordinating his crew. The job started this week and I am impressed with how well they all work together.. pictures to be posted later
