Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for someone who is reliable. A lot of my clients complain of previously bad relationships with creative folks, unmet deadlines, unexpected expenses, or the designer just simply disappears after receiving payment.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Design and marketing go hand in hand. Make sure you have a good idea where you want to take your company, and find a designer who understands the business end of creativity. Have an open mind when you are at the discovery phase, listen to what your creative person has to say, but know you are the one that has the rights to make the final decision.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How many years have you been in business?
What's the percentage of repeat clients?
Let the creative person know your expectations clearly (deadlines, budgets), and make sure everything's agreed before starting the project
Will the designer be available if you have future questions after the project has been completed

A. What is the purpose of this design/marketing project?
Who are your target audiences?
What is your budget?
What is the time line?
Do you have logo/company brand readily available?
