I have taken many training sessions with Uriel (we all call him Woody) they are always high intensity and I always leave drenched. Whether you want to increase your boxing skills or just get in shape I highly recommend contacting Woody. We met at Revolution Dojo and did an hour long session. We started with a light circuit warm up, ran through some quick pad work, and finished with a killer bag work circuit. I usually burn between 1000 and 1200 calories in a session (wore a heart rate monitor to verify.) I highly recommend giving Woody a call.
I had the privilege of taking private lessons from Mike Blackmon. His enthusiasm for the student who is eager to learn becomes contagious and makes you (the student) eager to learn more. While I had doubts about my ability due to my age and physical condition, Sensei Blackmon was quick to dispel that for me, showing me that it is never to late to learn to defend yourself. In fact I have continued my relationship with Michael Blackmom and Kuro Tora Aikijujutsu even after my private lessons stopped.
I have studied with John Peek for the last 2-3 years in the Haganah self defense system. I have been involved in the martial arts for a number of years and find John's teaching methodology and Haganah system to be the answer to my self defense development that the traditional styles lacked. John's emphasis on learning these very effective techniques for the right reasons and applications is central to his teaching culture. He also places great emphasis on partner preservation which minimizes injury without detracting from the real life aspects of applying the techniques. I highly recommend Houston Haganah to anyone interested in learning reality based self defense in a wholesome, safe environment taught by a top notch instructor and human being.
Morrison Butler is a great instructor. His classes are always challenging while being fun at the same time. His classes incorporate a variety of skills and disciplines making each class unique. His training includes strength and conditioning as well emphasizing good kickboxing and Muay Thai technique. Whether you are wanting to improve your fighting technique or looking for a fun way to burn a ton of calories and build your strength and stamina, I would strongly recommend training with Morrison.

Paolo is an amazing martial arts teacher. He as instructed me in Sanshou and Xing Yi styles. He also demonstrates a mastery of Pai Lum Dao Kung Fu as well as styles of Tai Ji and Bagua. I have also experienced his Iron Body training first hand. He is a master of teaching the basics, which are essential to the mastery of every style. Paolo is a scholar as well as warrior and has a deep philosophic understanding of martial arts practice and theory. Whether your aim is to become a physical or spiritual warrior. Paolo is your teacher!
I worked with Brian for 3 months last year. I was looking to learn some Kickboxing/MMA moves and to just get into better shape for a guy that was 60 years old. He worked my butt off! But, I saw improvement in my body, by blood pressure went down, and I was very pleased with the work that we did together. If I hadn't moved away from the area we would still be having our sessions!
Overall, I had a great experience. Gaby is a very knowledgeable trainer. Whether you want to get really into the technical side or putting you through an intense workout. I'm a good friend of his, yet he still takes our sessions very serious. He tries multiple approaches to help you understand the technique quicker and better. Gaby is not going to give you fake praise and compliments. He's a perfectionist, and you better work for his praise! All and all, Gaby is extremely passionate about what he does and it rubs off on you. I highly recommend him. Good guy.
Working with Jeremy on my fitness/self-defense has been great. He has been nothing but encouraging and supportive in all aspects of my training.
