FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A. My pricing is contingent on what you are wanting done, how many people, and travel. My pricing is different from most makeup artists who charge anywhere from $80-$200 for the initial application and then they tack on additional pricing for the trial run, staying for touch ups, etc. I give a set price that's all inclusive. The only additional price I ever add is if there's traveling involved.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A. I do makeup application of all types, except for special effects. I also offer hair styling either by me or I bring a hairstylist I work closely with. The most common jobs I do are bridal or formal. Although I have done quite a bit of fashion.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A. Always make sure that the makeup artist you hire has a portfolio of work from the past to view. Do not judge by price, judge by work that you can see. Ask questions no matter how out there you may think they are. There have been "professional" makeup artists who use things like super glue for false eyelashes and that is just not safe. Make sure you are having the artist stay on site with you and do always do a trial run. Another piece of advice I have for customers is it may be tempting to see this as something you can just do yourself and skip hiring a professional, but remember that a makeup artist does this for a living and has an artists eye. We also have a large variety of makeup and tools that the everyday person does not have. Plus, its always a great feeling to have someone follow you around to help you feel like a princess and get pampered all day! Especially for brides, it's your one special day and you don't want to chance anything.
