FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have standard pricing listed on my website which I do stick to. Often I run special discounts for new students as well. That being said; however, I do believe that all students benefit from a music rich environment. If you are on a budget, talk to me! I would rather negotiate my pricing then deny a potential student the power of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning myself. I feel it is important for me to stay up on recent news and developments in the music education world by taking classes, attending conferences, and continuing my private with professional coaches in my field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a musician. I started teaching when I was in high school and enjoyed sharing my love of music with my young neighbors. When I was in high school, my band director handed me her baton and told me I was directing our high school band at the spring concert. It was then that I knew beyond any doubt that I was meant to teach.
