Early this year, in the midst of Steves busiest tax preparation season, I needed returns for the prior two years. A court proceeding was imminent, and the returns in question were critical to a rendering in my favor. Steve and his associates did an outstanding job adjusting their peak-season workloads to accommodate my short-notice requirement, and delivered a top-quality, just-in-time work product.
Although I was informed by my attorney that the legal odds were not in my favor, Im very grateful for CGTs professionalism and diligence. The credibility of their work on my behalf was crucial to my very positive court outcome.
Steve has been assisting me with my various tax issues for over 7 years. His fees are higher than those of the Kentucky-Fried tax preparation chains like H&R or Jackson Hewitt. If your tax situation is basically a plain-vanilla-plug-the-numbers-and-submit routine, then those firms will more than fit your requirements.
On the other hand, if your tax situation is complex and challenging and you need real solid advice for your vexing questions (self-employed, back taxes, unfiled returns and all the associated issues that stem from an aversion to embracing the reality of the IRS), then you will find the services of an accessible, highly-trained, federally-certified tax specialist like Steve to be a very worthwhile investment.
