- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This is a standard grooming price to include a bath, glands express, nails, blow out, brush, and a full clip starts at $55. Depending on the temperament, size, and condition of the coat the price may differ because these things can be very time consuming. There are extra charges for flea treatment and de-matting. There is cheaper pricing if it's only a bath or just a bath with a hygiene trim. And for the working pet parents I do drop offs and p/u at LaVega Veterinary Clinic in Bellmead, TX.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always ask to give me time to get to know your pets and what you like and may not like. I know not everyone will like my style. But I like to think I'm able to conform to what the clients wants. I think it takes at least two grooming session to see if it'll be a good fit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out volunteering as a dog trainer for an organization that trains dogs for disabled veterans. This I did for two years. I then worked for three and a half years at one clinic as a vet tech/ groomer. I am with LaVega vet clinic once a week as the groomer and have been with them for the past 2 1/2 years and five days a week at Texas Animal Medical Clinic.
