I was looking for someone to install my screen door and he said he was available to come do it. He came out and explained he couldn’t finish the job because I had bought the wrong handle, which I completely understood. He offered to take the handle I bought back to Home Depot and exchange it for the right one then proceed to come back the following Friday to complete the job. 4 weeks later, my screen door is still not finished, He hasn’t returned my door handle, and I get spotty communication once a week saying he’s going to show up. I officially have given up trying to get the job completed or get my $45 handle back and have just decided to leave a poor review. I tried to give this young man a chance, but I’m highly disappointed.

This guy DOES NOT know what he is doing. He is NOT a handyman, at best he is a young adult who is learning to be a handyman. Words won't be able to describe what a terrible experience I had with him and several hours that I wasted fixing the damage he did to my garage roof. Here is what happened: I hired him to replace my garage door opener after he told me that he has done it before and is capable of doing it. I even shared pictures of the garage door opener I currently had and the one I had purchased that needed to be installed. He showed up along with his younger brother with the bare minimum amount of tools in a backpack. I should have known that he does not know what he's doing from the beginning itself because this guy unhooked all the wires from the garage door opener and asked me to open the garage. I was so confused and told him that the garage door opener would not work now that he's unhooked all the wires. I then showed him how to manually open the garage because seemingly he did not know how to do it. Once the garage door was open, he started unhooking the assembly/chain and I had to abruptly stop him and tell him that if he's going to remove the assembly/chain the garage door will fall down. I have to then hand him instructions to assemble the new garage door opener because I could see the struggle. Once everything was assembled, he could not figure out how to install the new garage door opener on my garage roof. He ended up drilling 10 holes in different places in my garage roof even though I gave him a stud finder to use. He then proceeded to tell me he wouldn't be able to do the wiring for the sensor all the wiring to the garage door opener pad since he does not have experience with that, no he was able to install this assembled new garage door opener to my garage roof. I ended up having him install the old garage door opener back but he did not know how to do the wiring to make the garage door opener work. So then I was left with 4-5 hours of my evening wasted, a garage door opener that would only work manually, and 10 holes in my garage roof with greasy fingers all over the walls and the roof of my garage. And look at the audacity, he demanded that I pay him for half the work and would not leave until I did such. We then negotiated that his brother who's also a handyman will come tomorrow morning to install everything and collect the full payment. The next morning, I waited two hours and nobody showed up. I called Marc and he did not pick up, he did not even reply to any of my messages. I then hired another professional garage door company who came the same day and were able to install the new garage door open completely.
