FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Notarization Fee + Travel My standard notary service is $10 per notarization (as allowed under Texas law). For any appointments outside a 10‑mile radius from my location, there is a $1.00 per mile travel fee. • Valid ID Required Clients must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, state‑issued ID, U.S. passport). I cannot proceed without it. • Clear Fee Breakdown All charges are separate and transparent: Notarial act fee (statutorily capped) Travel fee (variable based on mileage) No hidden or lump‑sum “convenience” fees travel is always itemized. This aligns with best practice guidance: “Travel fees are separate from notarization fees. You'll be informed of all fees upfront, before the appointment is set so there are no surprises later. If travel occurs but the notarization can’t happen (e.g., due to expired or missing ID), the travel fee still applies (as it covers my time & fuel). I’m happy to answer any questions via call or text. just ask!
