FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will typically come out to do an quote free of charge with no diagnostics involved. I do charge a flat rate to diagnose any issues, which includes a written work-up and repair plan. I will normally provide an up front price for a mid size to large size project. This price will include all labor and materials needed for the job. Some clients do prefer for me to work by the hour on smaller projects (and sometimes even larger projects with unforeseen/hidden/especially complex wiring conditions will require this pricing structure), and in that case I simply will charge a minimum of 2 hours, with any hours beyond that totaled up as well for the labor. I will also add in the cost of any materials used or purchased for the job in the case of a "time and materials" job. In either scenario, everything is itemized on the final invoice for complete transparency, and in no case will you ever be surprised by my end price! I do my best to over communicate in this situation for everyone's benefit!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients normally will reach out to me via text or phone. I am normally busy on a project, so if i dont answer right away, please know that as soon as I see that I have received a call or message, I will call you back or text you back! Once we make contact, I normally will ask about what type of service you are needing and will schedule a visit to your location to check it out. Sometimes I will work off of photos depending on the situation. Once I gather the info from your site, i will then present you a firm quote for your job that is good for 7 days! Once you decide to accept my quote, I will then request a 50% deposit to secure the booking, necessary permits, and materials for the job. The remaining 50% is due on completion. On smaller jobs, I will collect the full amount at the end of the job.
