Dog training type
We got about halfway or less through the program with the same number of visits a previous dog had for a fraction of the cost at Petsmart. This dog knows less despite being very bright and cooperative. In addition, the trainer canceled appointments and never tried to schedule again until I asked for a refund of the unused sessions. Then she refused the refund. I was fine with paying more money if I received the services I hired her for. I did not and I did not feel as though she dealt professionally with my dispute.Dec 8, 2018VerifiedChampion K9 Companions's reply
I am so sorry that you don't feel like my services were sufficient for you Kassandra! I very much enjoyed working with you and your corgis, Margo and Riata, and had thought that you were satisfied with their progress! We definitely did have some miscommunication with scheduling and I do apologize for the few times I had to reschedule with you. I had multiple deaths in the family this past summer and was going through a divorce. I did try to contact you multiple times to get you back on the schedule but I guess we had some technical difficulties there. There were multiple times that I did not receive your calls or texts and vice versa. As for the refund I'm afraid that it does specifically stipulate and I contract that since I offer a service I cannot offer refunds. When you commit to my program it is a full commitment. And I did do my best to tell you that I was happy to get you back on the schedule and finish your program, but you specifically stated that you opted not to. I do believe I was understanding about the payments as well because though you opted for the payment plan you never actually finished the payments. Which was something I was understanding of. Again, I'm sorry you didn't feel like you got your money's worth! I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors!
This dog trainer helped me keep the lab I rescued! My doberman hated her, but Aubrey helped him to stop being aggressive towords her. I really didn't know if I was going to be able to keep her! But now they are the best of friends.May 7, 2017VerifiedChampion K9 Companions's reply
I'm glad Boro and Sadie are getting along! I know how stressful it can be to live with pups who don't like each other, so I'm happy we could help you with their bond!
My little dog is very fearful.-frightened of strangers. Not the K9 trainer! My dog was analyzed and I was told exactly what could be done to help her. And how it would be doneJul 29, 2017Verified
Aubrey is incredibly professional and very knowledgeable with her training. Since our first interactions, she has been wonderful. She works well with our stubborn pups, which we thought might be difficult at first as we had just added another dog to our family. I look forward to several more training sessions with her and would recommend 10/10.Jun 6, 2017VerifiedChampion K9 Companions's reply
Thanks so much for the kind words Taylor!
Working with Aubrey was such a pleasure. She really is the dog whisperer! She helped me train my German Shepherd puppy to be potty trained, crate trained, and all her basic obedience. I saw results immediately and I know how to make them last now. I would definitely recommend her!May 7, 2017VerifiedChampion K9 Companions's reply
Thanks! Puppies are a lot of work but you are rocking it! Tell little Sami I said hi!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have a few options for you to choose from when it comes to packages and pricing! If you want to pay from session to session that is completely fine; each session is valued at $95 (and each session is one hour long). Also, you could opt for the three session package valued at $265 or the six session package for $499. I typically recommend that we space out our training sessions so that we meet once a week. That way you have a chance to develop a list of things I can help you with along the way. It's completely up to you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We always start with an in-home consultation. Firstly, the consultation is completely free! I'll meet you at your home, where I can meet you and your pup and we can discuss your training goals. Then if you choose to stay with me as your trainer I will create a program specifically tailored to fit you and your pups needs!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was trained and certified through the Starmark Animal Behavioral Center in Austin Tx as a Professional Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist. The program they offer is a very intensive five days a week, 8 hours a day training experience! I opted for their specialist program so I was with them for three full months, living on their campus and learning everything about the canine industry.
