The worst experience possible!!! He took 20k and everything he did was done incorrectly. He also damaged my home!! We had to fire him less than a quarter of the way through the project. He never got the proper permits. Not only that but he not licensed any where n Texas!! We’ve contacted the police, the city, county and state, none of them have even heard of him. He’s not listed anywhere but here and a couple other sites. Absolutely do not hire this thief!!! The only time he showed up on time was the two times he picked up checks!! The contract was for 35k with a two to three week build time. That was in august!! He even threatened my family and I, by saying he was going to put a lien on our home and take it from us. I’ve contacted thumbtack numerous times to help with this. Initially they were very helpful, but when they discovered I was not a premium member, they said they could no longer help and had to protect HIS privacy. Needless to say both him and thumbtack will be named in the lawsuit. Do not hire him or use this site!! These contractors are not licensed or insured and when they destroy your home, thumbtack protects them!!! They laid both slabs incorrectly with the drains in the wrong places. This was for a therapy tub, as I am a disabled Vet. Now because of the horrible job he did, it’s not even possible to put the tub where it was intended. They cracked the drain pipe in the process, which means now all my pipes have to get replaced cause I have an older home and the work is no longer grandfathered in. Same with the electrical cause they ripped off the exterior 6 months ago and rain and animals have poured into my house. I have the texts where I told him what was happening. Gave him months either of chances to fix things or refund me my money. He agreed he messed up and would make things right. When I said my money back would make things right, he threatened to take my home. Saying I owed him an additional 17.5k. He himself clams to be a vet, then turns around and destroys my home and takes my money. I’ve spent just about 10k at this point on roofing repairs, framing repairs, inspections, plumbing repairs and there’s still probably another 50k in repairs before we can even restart the build. Now at this point I’m out of money, he never provided any receipts, and his own worker said he never even paid the cement company. So pretty much the whole 20k went straight into his pockets. Save yourself what will now be years worth of time, money and heartache for my family and I, and never hire this con man or use this site!!! I can provide more pics, videos, cashed checks from the banks. Copies of the checks, texts of him asking us to give the bank permission to cash the checks to him. We have everything and thumbtacks market place safety team didn’t even ask to see one shred of evidence. Save yourself and use another site and make sure you contact your city, county and state to see who these guys really are!!!
