I wish I could give this vendor a better rating, but I’m trying to be as objective and fair as possible.
I hired this one-person business to install my flooring. During the negotiation, I clearly emphasized that the project needed to be completed within a specific timeframe and even offered to pay more for timely completion. The owner accepted the job under those terms.
He showed up the first day and completed approximately 70% of the master bedroom. However, on the second day, he called to say he needed to leave and help a friend, leaving my project idle for the entire day.
I do believe he does good-quality work, but the progress is very slow. My biggest concern is the lack of professionalism and the decision to prioritize a personal favor over a previously agreed-upon project deadline.
Quality matters, but so does reliability and respecting the commitments made to a customer. That is a significant concern for me.
