I cannot be more happy with Devon. If you’re looking for a personal trainer with knowledge and passion about fitness but also someone who cares about you that’s for sure Devon. He is not just a personal trainer, he makes you feel like you’re talking with an old friend, he always helps you and pushes you to go up your limits (in a good way), He always replies the messages when you’re in doubt about something, He doesn’t have you running on a treadmill , instead , he teaches you exercises that will help you to achieve your goals in due time without dying plus a nutritional plan according to your personal goals. De'Von is a fantastic personal trainer. He knows how to make you work at the sweet spot of tougher than I would push myself but not so hard that you are out of your depth. He is very accommodating when it comes to scheduling and keeps me accountable on my meals as well. Let me just say De'Von is a charismatic and energetic trainer. His positive attitude is contagious and will keep you looking towards your goals at all times. He is always motivating you to be better, to do better. Whether its advising and counseling on nutrition or creating a workout schedule tailored to suit you, he never drops the ball. I've been a regular customer of De'von's for a little under a year now and I started with horrible back issues due to a weak lower back. He made me a workout routine that would strengthen my back while simultaneously not over-exerting it. He has been a great help and thanks to his expertise i experience far less back pain today than I did before his help. De'von is one of those people that sees unlimited potential in everyone, and he makes sure that you know it. We were very worried initially when we decided to hire a trainer because of some bad experiences in the past. He was patient while we were searching and never tried pressuring to choose him. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?During your FREE consultation, we will check your weight and body fat. After your measurements we will discuss your goals and I will give you a realistic timeline. We will finish up with a workout targeting problem areas and discuss which training package works best for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Personal trainer and Nutrition Specialist through the International Sport Science Association and have experience in powerlifting, bodybuilding and was a collegiate athlete at Texas State University. I have trained at Gold's Gym and freedom fitness where I developed my skills even further through continued education courses and hands on training to keep my skills up to date and fresh. I have also been doing weight training for over 13 years and have experience putting on muscle and burning body fat to lose those pesky pounds we all had a hard time with, through my own experience and through the clients I have worked with in the past.
