FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Just as you are unlike anyone else, your photographic needs are unlike any one else as well. Cookie cutter pricing can work for some things like a single portrait when you may need only one or two prints. But a major event like a wedding is never the same. Big factors in pricing are time, location, camera and lighting needs. Again, give your photographer as much information in advance so that he/she can price it correctly.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First: determine what you want photographed. Then ask questions like how the photographer would take the shots, what equipment is used. It's not only about price - you need to express your expectations so that the photographer can 1. price it and 2. deliver.
