Full Service Lawn Care
I spoke with the woman in charge yesterday and she stated that she would be able to do the work on my yard on Saturday between 3:30 and 4pm. Which was perfectly acceptable. She seemed very knowledgeable as well as attentive to my wants and needs. I explained to her that I was in the hospital for the last month and the yard had gotten out of hand. She contacted me this morning to make sure of my address because she failed to write it down. I had accidentally given her one house over. Her husband contacted me at 2:28 stating that he was at my house (well, the house next door, which we straightened out)- I was running an errand and had stated that I would be home soon. I can mostly respect showing up early but when I do not know a person it makes me rather uncomfortable to have people at my house without me being there to make sure they are keeping to my directions. I was completely and totally livid when I got home and only the son and the father were there and had done everything that I asked them not to do. The woman called me at 3:15pm telling me that they would leave the bushes alone until I got there. The husband had absolutely destroyed my holly bushes out front. I explicitly said "do not cut away the height!! Just the sides" he did the complete opposite! I have been trying to grow them taller to block the sun from the windows for 2 years. It made me livid af!!! Then I walked into my backyard and it just got worse. I nearly broke down to see what they had done. A heavy terra-cotta pot was on top of my trash can?!? Really there is a work table that you can put it on. Or just move it after you mow where it is. They put potted plants in my garden on top of other plants, and a potted plant on top of my AC unit?!? Are you kidding me?? The husband did not take kindly to any criticism, the son used foul language and the had the nerve to treat his mother like trash, enclududing cussing at her. I'm sorry but that is just flat wrong on several levels A) You absolutely never ever disrespect your mother ever! Much less infront of a complete stranger/ person who hired you. B) This does not help your mother's business continue to grow. I did not want to deal with family issues on top of everything else. I learned way too much about everyone envolved. In the end I was cussed at by both males and just wanted everyone to leave. I paid them full price just to get them to go away. I feel bad that the woman is paired with them but it is what it is. I do NOT recommend them to anyone I ended up trimming my bushes to make sure they were not mutilated further. They did not have the proper tool to perform this task resulting in wavy lines and bear patches. I also ended up doing a lot of raking and will continue to do so because they did not have a bagging mower and grass got all over everything causing a huge mess which did not get cleaned up, and all of the clippings were scattered all over my lawn by the son, when I told him that I wanted it all raked and bagged he threw a fit. I am still taking up clippings that were left. This is ridiculous! Completely and totally dissatisfied!Aug 20, 2017VerifiedGirl in the Garden's reply
My husband and son had not only been cussed out in the minutes prior to my arrival but also in front of me. I was also treated poorly and disrespectful and never once did I let it get to me as I understood you were upset about the misdirection on the holly bushes, which are beautiful and healthy but not as tall as they were before my husband trimmed them without my go ahead. My son does not do well with a perfect stranger threatening him or yelling multiple directions at him. You provided the wrong address via text message to start which was understandable. I aim to always provide the highest level of service even when I am being belittled or insulted. I stayed and attempted to not only diffuse the situation but also to make you happy with everything you wanted done. I will say though that your yard had been overgrown for some time and thatch build up is not our responsibility to clean to the bare dirt. We have all the tools we needed but my husband didn't know whether to pack up and leave or stay and finish. All in all I am sorry we didn't reschedule as you had many instructions you conveyed in the one conversation we had. I hope in the future your able to find the yard assistance you need or your able to overcome your health complications so you can keep the yard to your liking. It is a beautiful space and I admire your willingness to keep going despite your pain level. I can't apologize enough for not meeting your expectations today. My offer however does stand to be able to assist with your onsite direction in the future.
