- What types of customers have you worked with?
Proofreading and line editing are my most common jobs. Recently, I have edited content for website publication as well as a large series of veterinary brochures--I enjoy making language more consistent, more readable, and, of course, grammatically accurate. Editing larger works, like books, while more rare and considerably more challenging, is also very enjoyable with a real sense of accomplishment at the end.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone you trust and with whom you are comfortable sharing your thoughts and ideas. As a writer, you deserve the first say and the final say--an editor should help you stretch your abilities and look at your work in a different perspective.
